- She applied for a widow's pension on the service of Monteville Roberts, on the grounds of age, poverty, infirmity, and blindness. In her application, she gives information regarding both of their births, their marriage, Monteville's enlistment, the battle in which he lost his arm, his death, and her lack of property. Her pension was approved and she recieved payments until at least 1907. L. M Jones and L. W. Barrett (Barrett served in same company as Monteville) were witnesses in her application.
Research note: she says that she had previously applied for a pension "under the old act." She also says that Monteville was drawing $100 for the loss of his arm at the time of his death. It is unclear whether this refers to the same pension or two different pensions.
