"As a Revolutionary veteran he drew and in Early County granted February 4, 1837." - Walter Ellis was a fortunate drawer in the 1820 Georgia Land Lottery. He drew lot 314, district 13 in Early County, which was granted on 4 Feb 1837. Lots in Early County were 250 acres each. As a Revolutionary War veteran, Walter did not have to meet a minimum residence requirement and would have been entitled to two draws (assuming he was not a fortunate drawer in a previous lottery, in which case he was only entitled to one draw).

- Walter was a resident of Jackson County when he registered for the 1820 land lottery. I don't know when exactly when registration took place, but it would have been sometime between the passing of the act in December 1818 and before drawing began in September 1820.
